Acceptable use policy

What you may not use the API for. Short, and enforced.

Prohibited

• Generating child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors. Reported to authorities without notice.
• Content intended to harass, threaten, defame, or incite violence against a person or group.
• Malware, exploit development for unauthorised access, credential harvesting, or circumventing security controls on systems you do not own.
• Fraud, phishing, impersonation of a real person or organisation, or generating disinformation intended to deceive.
• Automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effect on someone — credit, employment, housing, insurance, criminal justice — without human review.
• Professional advice in regulated fields (medical, legal, financial) presented as coming from a qualified person.
• Circumventing rate limits, spend caps, or the free tier through multiple accounts.

Enforcement

We do not read your prompts, so enforcement is complaint-driven and based on traffic patterns rather than content inspection. When we receive a credible report we may suspend the account while investigating. Serious cases are referred to law enforcement.

Model licences

Your use is also bound by the licence of the model you call. We publish the licence for every model in the catalogue — some, such as the Llama community licences, carry obligations that Apache-2.0 and MIT do not.
